Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2018 Prado displays a deep garnet-purple color. The nose begins a little closed and broody, soon unfurling to reveal earthy notes of fragrant soil, black truffles, and tar over a core of plum preserves, warm cassis, and wild blueberries, plus suggestions of red roses and cedar chest. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a firm structure of ripe, grainy tannins and bold freshness supporting the muscular black fruits, finishing long and earthy.
2018 BLOCK FIVE | 94+ Points
Produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2018 Block Five sports a deep garnet-purple color. It leaps from the glass with notions of blackcurrant pastilles, Black Forest cake, and mulberries with hints of unsmoked cigars, forest floor, black truffles, and beef drippings. Medium to full-bodied, rich, and seductive in the mouth, the ripe, juicy black fruit layers are supported by approachable, grainy tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long and with great poise.

The medium to full-bodied palate is elegantly played, refreshing, and chock-full of energetic black fruits, textured by velvety tannins, finishing long and layered.
