Here are our handwritten notes from the first tasting:

pH 3.80, TA 6.3;  25% new French, Hungarian and American oak (the remainder older barrels)

harvest dates October 1, 12, 19, 20, 22, 29; bottled July 2014

nose: bright blackberry, spice (cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, baking spices), dark plum, floral and aromatic, black tea

palate: rich, spicy, tangy dark cherry, plum, long and complex, toasty wood and meatiness emerge, (milk chocolate, candied fruit)
